Many students at CSULB go through the purgatory-like time periods in between classes where they must decide what to do for their two-hour long breaks in between classes. Although hanging out or sleeping seems more attractive, studying is really the best and most productive choice. There are many spots on campus to do so but some are better than others. Here are the top five places to study and get work done.

5. Shakarian Success Center

Located right in the middle of the Liberal Arts and Science buildings, this area offers a nice peaceful view of the school and outdoor seats with umbrellas offering a nice breeze.

4. ASU Food Court

One of the noisier selections on the list, but also the only place where you can grab a coffee and a pizza while still getting to charge your laptop. Just be careful not to get it all over your keyboard.

3. The Horn Center

Aka, the school's computer lab, this is one of the best kept secrets for students wanting to get away from big crowds.

2. Empty Classrooms in Hall of Science

Another well-kept secret, many students use empty classes to study, usually later in the day. Just make sure it's not in use before having to get kicked out.

University Library.

The obvious choice for many reasons. A Starbucks to stay awake, and several floors of silent rooms to get you focused on your assignments. Don't miss the single stall chairs by the books on each floor or the basement.
